Welcome to the PTO!

Help shape our children’s future by connecting families, empowering our school.

Their future is our business.

Canyon Creek Elementary PTO brings together school families, teachers and staff and the community. Funds raised by the PTO support a para for the school, field trip funds and buses, classroom grants and other school needs. The PTO hosts several events each year such as Run the Canyon, Movie Night, Monster Mash, Page Turners Read-a-thon and more, to bring the community together to have fun and meet new friends.

Mission Statement

Fundraising

We use a variety of fun and engaging fundraisers to support our school throughout the year. Each fall, we plan and coordinate a schoolwide Fun Run, along with community events such as Monster Mash, Movie Nights, and more. We also host monthly restaurant nights and partner with local businesses that generously donate a portion of their proceeds to our PTO.

Our fundraising efforts allow us to give back in meaningful ways. We provide Teacher Grants to help cover classroom supply needs, support grade-level and specials field trips, and help fund a Teacher’s Assistant. We also budget for larger projects that benefit the entire school, including shade structures, picnic tables, benches, a school marquee, and more.

Every fundraiser—big or small—helps make a lasting impact on our students and staff.

Advocacy

Part of our mission is to advocate for students’ and our school’s needs - which can include updated supplies, equipment, and specific resources that support educational enrichment. We help create an inclusive environment, strive to provide equitable funding distribution, and strengthen the relationships around the school’s surrounding communities.

❊ FAQs

You’ve got questions,
we’ve got answers

  • We’re so happy you’re interested in volunteering with us! Please email us or fill out our interest form (link here), and we’ll be in touch soon.

When you reach out, let us know how much time you’d like to contribute and in what ways you’d like to be involved. We’d also love to hear about your talents, skills, or connections.

Do you have a family member who owns a restaurant? Do you enjoy social media? Are you a DJ or face painter? Our community is full of incredibly talented individuals, and we’d love to find the perfect way for you to get involved!

  • Yes! Anyone connected to our community is welcome to attend our meetings. Whether you’re a parent, guardian, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or community member, we’d love to have you join us.

We typically meet on the last Tuesday of each month at 5:30 PM in the Canyon Creek Library.

One of the great benefits of attending is that a member of the school’s administration joins us to share updates about what’s happening at the school and to answer questions from families. It is a great way to feel extra connected to the school.

  • There are many ways to support Canyon Creek’s PTO, and every bit of involvement makes a difference!

    • Attend events:
We share a calendar of fall events at the start of the school year and a spring calendar in January. Showing up is one of the easiest and most impactful ways to help.

    • Join Restaurant Nights:
Held about once a month, these are fun ways to enjoy a meal out while supporting the school. Participating restaurants donate a portion of the evening’s sales to our PTO.

    • Support major fundraisers:
In the fall and spring, we host events like the Fun Run and Read-a-thon. Sharing these with family and friends and asking for support goes a long way.

    • Donate items or services:
Contributions to our fall silent auction—such as gift cards, experiences, or items—are always appreciated.

    • Help secure donations:
Volunteer to reach out to local businesses for sponsorships or auction items.

    • Give your time:
Help plan, organize, or run events—there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.

Thank you for supporting our school community—we couldn’t do it without you!

  • Our PTO is a separate organization from the school.  We operate under the umbrella of the Cherry Creek Parent’s Council. https://www.ccparentscouncil.org/  We are our own non-profit and have a board that works alongside the school administration, but decisions and votes happen at our PTO Meetings.  You can find our Bylaws HERE (Link to our Bylaws - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1l3pH9wqrex4TWjYCmdSTyZtMeyWheHKzi2BI36vwnE8/edit?usp=sharing ). Our board is made up entirely of volunteers who generously give their time and energy. We are dedicated to creating a school experience where every student feels supported, encouraged, and has plenty of fun along the way.
